Job summary

Nbutexas in Massachusetts is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and documentation of custom machinery and tooling.

You will create layouts and drawings in SolidWorks, manage BOMs, interface with suppliers and customers, and drive cross-functional projects from concept to production, with occasional travel up to 10%. Candidates should have 5–10+ years in mechanical design, strong CAD skills, ERP and manufacturing process knowledge, and a BS in Mechanical

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Experience designing industrial machinery, machine tool accessories, automation equipment, or related mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software, including assembly modeling and detailed drawings.
• Experience creating BOMs and working with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mechanical equipment layouts, assembly drawings, BOMs, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms for machine systems and related equipment.
• Create and maintain accurate engineering documentation including construction drawings and manuals.
• Generate and manage BOMs and enter component data into the company's ERP system.
• Source components and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and fabricators.
