Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or STEM discipline and minimum of 4 years of technical work experience OR advanced degree with 2 years of work technical experience.
  • Experience in a highly regulated medical device environment is preferred.
  • Strong engineering analysis and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, characterize, qualify and commercialize energy components for implantable devices.
  • Apply analyses, modeling, and experiments to verify component performance, reliability and robustness.
  • Support New Product Development programs through concept development, design refinement, testing, and commercialization activities.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and other teams to resolve issues and drive design decisions.
  • Generate and maintain design history files and ensure regulatory compliance and design controls.
