Type One Energy seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of first-of-a-kind stellarator components and systems. You will mentor junior engineers while delivering conceptual, preliminary, and final designs for vacuum vessels, divertors, and plasma-facing components.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in similar engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate design requirements into functional stellarator components and systems.
• Develop system and component designs and specifications.
• Analyze and align interface requirements.
• Develop and validate FEA and CFD models using ANSYS, COMSOL, and other tools.
• Develop procurement packages.
• Resolve technical questions during fabrication.
