Job summary

Globe Machine Manufacturing seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Product Design Engineer to design and develop complex, custom industrial machinery from concept to startup. You will own the process, working with designers, manufacturing, controls, and customers to realize robust equipment that performs in real-world environments.

This hands-on role requires leading technical teams, delivering detailed documentation, and travel to customer sites for installation and testing.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of hands-on engineering experience designing industrial machinery.
• Experience leading technical teams, designers, or drafters.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and manufacturing documentation.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control components.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of complex machinery from concept to start-up.
• Design equipment systems and components to meet specs and Globe standards.
• Create 3D models, layouts, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing packages.
• Apply engineering principles to component sizing and selection.
• Develop testing procedures and lead performance validation.
• Provide technical leadership to designers and drafters.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, controls, PM, vendors, and customers.
• Travel to customer sites to support installation and testing.
