Job summary

Globe Machine Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Product Design Engineer to own complex industrial machinery from concept to start‑up. You will lead mechanical design, create 3D models, BOMs, and manufacturing packages, and collaborate with manufacturing, controls, project management, vendors, and customers.

This hands-on role requires eight plus years in mechanical design of production machinery, strong leadership, and the ability to translate customer needs into manufacturable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable education.
• Eight or more years of hands‑on engineering experience, preferably in industrial machinery.
• Experience leading technical teams of designers or drafters.
• Experience with motors, reducers, drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control components.
• Strong problem solving and the ability to translate requirements into manufacturable solutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through start‑up of complex machinery.
• Create 3D models, layouts, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing packages.
• Select components and sizing for motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems.
• Develop testing procedures and lead equipment validation.
• Provide technical leadership to designers and drafters.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, controls, project management, and vendors.
• Travel to customer sites for installation and start‑up.
