Job summary

Globe Machine Manufacturing Company seeks an experienced Controls Engineering Manager to lead a talented team and personally own controls design for multiple projects from concept through start-up. You will mentor engineers, set standards, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will oversee electrical design, PLC/HMI development, and servo control while coordinating with Sales, Manufacturing, and leadership to ensure successful execution across international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least five years of progressive Controls Engineering experience.
• Minimum five years in people leadership of engineers.
• Strong background in electrical design, PLCs, HMIs, and servo control.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Industrial manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Controls Engineering team, including engineers and drafters.
• Own controls design and execution for assigned projects from concept through testing and start-up.
• Manage resources, schedules, costs, and priorities across multiple projects.
• Establish and maintain controls design and programming standards.
• Provide technical direction across electrical design, PLC programming, HMI, networking, and servo systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Leadership to drive project execution.
• Troubleshoot complex controls issues and support installed equipment and upgrades.
