Job summary

Investigo in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Product Design Engineer to own the architecture and design of complex electromechanical systems, blending plastics, metals, and sensors for high-volume consumer products.

You will lead the full development lifecycle from CAD through prototyping, testing, and production ramp, collaborating with electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing teams to solve cross-functional challenges. Domestic travel to Asia is anticipated.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of consumer product design experience with sensor integration.
• Experience shipping high-volume consumer products and supporting manufacturing in Asia.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX/Creo).
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes, DFM/ DFA, tolerance analysis, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis, DOE, and quality measuring techniques.

Responsibilities

• Own, architect, and design complex electromechanical systems with sensors and actuators.
• Drive designs across the development lifecycle: CAD, prototyping, testing, and ramp into production (Asia manufacturing support).
• Collaborate with electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams to solve cross-functional problems.
• Perform analyses and testing to meet product goals: thermal, fluid, and structural analyses.
• Collaborate with industrial design, marketing, product teams, and leadership to shape product direction and features.
