Job summary

Sanmina Fremont is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive end‑to‑end electromechanical product development from concept through NPI and production release. You will deliver designs with DFx support, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure manufacturability while meeting program milestones.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 2–4 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in SolidWorks or CREO and cost‑reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–4 years of electromechanical product design and DFx experience preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal structures, welding/fabrication is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or CREO required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and manufacturing activities on assigned projects.
• Develop comprehensive SOWs with deliverables, timelines, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze requests to develop mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with industrial, manufacturing, electrical, thermal and systems engineers.
• Perform VAVE to reduce costs while preserving design intent.
• Ensure DFX is integrated into design and release documentation.
