Job summary

Teklabs Inc is seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Engineer to serve as a Product Design Engineer, leading development of camera- and sensor-focused products from concept through prototype. You will create cutting-edge mechanical designs that integrate cameras, sensors, and supporting hardware, with emphasis on thermal management, optics considerations, and robust electromechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of mid-career experience in mechanical product design.
• Experience designing camera-focused or sensor-based systems.
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and Ansys for analysis.
• Ability to work with fabrication and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical products from concept through prototype for camera/sensor systems.
• Create detailed 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks, including sheet metal and weldments.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components with cross-functional teams.
• Perform thermal simulations to address thermal management challenges.
• Create manufacturing drawings and support DFM/DFA processes.
• Lead hands-on prototyping and iterative design cycles with vendor collaboration.
