Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a senior mechanical design engineer to lead end-to-end development of camera- and sensor-focused products from concept through prototype. You will own mechanical integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability in fast-paced projects.

You will create 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks, perform thermal analyses with Ansys, and collaborate with electrical and software teams to deliver robust, reliable systems. Independent ownership is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design.
• Proven ability to design robust mechanical systems for camera/sensor applications.
• Strong problem solving and engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical products from concept to prototype with camera/sensor focus.
• Create 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Apply thermal management and perform thermal simulations.
• Collaborate with electrical and software teams for integration.
• Develop mechanical design requirements and validate performance.
• Conduct design validation, testing, tolerancing, and design reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis and structured problem solving.
• Incorporate manufacturability and assembly considerations into designs.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and test reports.
• Work independently to drive projects and meet deadlines.
