Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of mechanical product design experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
• Experience with sheet metal, weldments, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Experience with Ansys or similar tools for thermal analysis.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with fabrication/manufacturing teams and vendors.
• Preferred: Experience with camera/sensor systems, optics, or machine vision.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical products, assemblies, and equipment using SolidWorks.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, sheet metal parts, weldments, and manufacturing drawings.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components into product designs.
• Perform thermal analysis/simulation, tolerance stack-ups, and apply GD&T.
• Support prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles for manufacturability and assembly.
• Work with fabrication, manufacturing teams, and external vendors to resolve design issues.
• Drive iterative design improvements from prototype through production.
• Manage multiple projects and deliverables with minimal supervision.
