Placements24 in Welkom seeks a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of robust mechanical products. You will work from concept to production, collaborating with manufacturing, R&D, and quality assurance to ensure performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, at least 5 years of design experience, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or Inventor) with GD&T knowledge.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor) and familiarity with FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and BOMs for production.
• Perform engineering calculations, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and tolerance analysis.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to resolve production issues and optimize designs.
• Conduct prototype testing and validation, documenting results and recommending improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional product development meetings to ensure alignment and achieve project goals.
