p>As the pioneer and world leader of the oil-free centrifugal compressor product category, the enterprise is dedicated to the design, manufacture, marketing, and support of the world’s most efficient commercial refrigerant compressors. The result is the world’s first totally oil-free compressor specifically designed for the HVAC industry.
p>As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, this role will be responsible for delivering integrated compressor designs for new technology introduction and new product development. Responsibilities include contributing to the technology development of new platforms to expand the product portfolio, from defining customer/product requirements to concept validation and product implementation. This portfolio includes, but is not limited to, dynamic turbo machinery, magnetic bearings, permanent magnet motors, and integrated power electronics.
h3>Job Responsibilities

li>Responsible for mechatronics system integration by working closely with other R&D functions.
li>Integrated compressor design for low cost and quality sustainable manufacturing
li>Modeling of component and system level designs.
li>Perform design activities such as creating design specifications, conducting design FMEA, and defining qualification plans.
li>Create product drawings applying GD&T principles.
li>Responsible for product structural integrity and reliability.
li>Design verification using engineering tools such as FEA and testing of overall product/system and its components.
li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams within engineering, operations, and procurement groups to ensure manufacturing and assembly feasibility and serviceability.
li>Participate in new technology research and development projects as requested.
li>Deliver design documentation following project stage gates.
li>Support certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, UL, and CE, and ensure environmental and safety guidelines are applied accordingly.
h3>Background & Skills
p>
Required Qualifications:ul
li>Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
li>Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in product design and development related to mechanical disciplines.
li>Experience with structural and thermal analysis using FEA.
li>Experience with material selection, design procedures, and design for manufacturing and assembly methods.
li>Proficient in 3D CAD.
li>Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.
li>Working onsite at our facility in Tallahassee, FL, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:ul
li>Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
li>3+ years’ experience in turbo machinery product development.
li>Experience with technical documentation in at least 1 full lifecycle product development.
li>Experience in rotordynamic analysis and testing validation.
