Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC/Plumbing focus)
• P.E. license required
• 10+ years HVAC/Plumbing design exp in consulting
• LEED AP preferred
• Experience with ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1, 55
• Experience with California Title 24 Energy Code
• BIM and Revit/AutoCAD experience required
• Sustainable design experience
• Design Build or other delivery methods desirable
• Government/DOD project experience preferred

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Jacksonville, Florida

RQ Construction seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our office in Jacksonville, Florida. This position will lead RQ's mechanical and plumbing engineering design development practices in all regions of work performed by RQ, in adherence to U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Army surveying, planning and RFP design standards.

Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, we are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We currently have a backlog of work of $1B in CA, VA, NC, SC, FL and also Guantanamo Bay Cuba and Puerto Rico. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range of $135,000-$155,000, depending on qualifications and experience

Education & Experience

• Bachelor Science Mechanical Engineering Degree – Focus on HVAC and Plumbing Engineering

• Experience with ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1 and 55.
