Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Ohio is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, optimize piping systems, size components, and produce drawings and specifications. You will perform calculations and safety checks to ensure code compliance and reliability.

Responsibilities include supporting procurement, vendor evaluations, and assisting with FAT, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least two years of piping experience are required,

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment in an industrial setting.
• Experience with equipment sizing, pressure-drop calculations, pipe-stress concepts, relevant codes and safety practices, and drafting or analysis tools; ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
