Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems and size equipment.

You will prepare technical drawings, perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and structural checks, and support safety reviews, procurement evaluations, FATs, field inspections, and commissioning under senior staff. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, at least 2 years’ piping/ fluid systems experience in an industrial setting, and the

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on piping, fluid systems or process equipment experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience with equipment sizing, calculations, codes and safety practices; ability to use drafting or analysis tools; must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Design and optimize facility piping systems, size mechanical equipment, prepare and update technical drawings and specifications, and perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, stress, and structural checks. Support safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, factory acceptance testing, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting under senior staff guidance.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus at least two years of hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment in an industrial setting. Candidates should have experience with equipment sizing, calculations, relevant codes and safety practices, and drafting or analysis tools; the successful candidate must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
