Job summary

Gryphon Oakwood is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex mechanical construction projects in the Houston market, from early planning through closeout. You will oversee project performance, financials, scheduling, procurement, field coordination, and client relations, while collaborating with field leadership and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive project management experience within mechanical construction.
• Strong experience delivering large-scale commercial or industrial mechanical construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and associated mechanical systems.
• Strong financial and commercial experience across budgeting, forecasting, cost control, procurement, scheduling, and change management.
• Proven ability to lead project teams and manage relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction and start-up through completion and closeout.
• Maintain responsibility for project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete, billing, change management, and profitability.
• Manage project schedules, procurement, manpower planning, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Lead project teams while coordinating closely with Superintendents, Foremen, estimating, engineering, and field leadership.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, project documentation, and commercial requirements.
• Maintain strong client relationships while monitoring project costs, labor productivity, schedule, quality, and overall performance.
