Job summary

Kent Data Centres seeks a Lead Mechanical Commissioning Technician to support projects in Florida and Ohio. You will work with site commissioning leads to deliver testing, QA, and handover for critical facilities.

The role requires experience in mechanical commissioning, FAT/SAT processes, and coordination with project managers and subcontractors. Domestic travel within the USA is expected to support multiple sites, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineer degree or equivalent required.
• Experience with industrial mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, functional testing and handover.
• Experience with pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers and utility systems.
• Knowledge of commissioning processes for chillers, CRACs/CRAHs and fan wall units.
• Strong MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review contract docs and develop commissioning strategy and plan.
• Conduct commissioning level 1-5 and advise on scope and design strategy.
• Attend FAT/SAT, document findings and escalate as needed.
• Create IRL lists and manage punch items (P1–P3).
• Liaise with Project Managers and sub-contractors to ensure delivery.
• Travel regionally to support projects and site surveys.
