Job summary

FST Technical Services is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead commissioning activities on large-scale data center projects, from design to execution. You will validate HVAC systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years experience or 3+ years commissioning.
• Data center experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle.
• Execute functional testing, witness testing, and system validation.
• Manage assignments within schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Evaluate HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues.
• Review design documentation.
• Lead meetings and communicate findings.
• Build relationships with clients and contractors.
• Complete reports and manage time and expenses.
• Mentor junior engineers and support training.
