Job summary

Kent Data Centres, a global leader in data centre engineering, seeks a Lead Mechanical Commissioning Technician to support projects in Florida and beyond. You will drive commissioning activities, manage QA/test regimes, and coordinate with design and project teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and have hands-on experience with pumps, valves, piping and cooling systems, plus a willingness to travel within the region for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Review contract docs and draft commissioning strategy per project.
• Conduct commissioning reviews to align scope with design.
• Perform mechanical commissioning levels 1–5.
• Attend FAT with testing to validate requirements.
• Organise on-site commissioning and testing to fit program.
• Prepare and manage QA, SAT and IST documentation.
• Apply safety standards and company procedures.
• Present methodology to management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with PMs, SAs and designers for delivery.
• Commit to travel within the region as needed.

Responsibilities

• Test execution, punch-list closeout, and evidence capture.
• Lead on-site commissioning and handover to end-user.
• Prepare reports, attend client and supplier meetings.
• Review submittals and technical clarifications with teams.
• Maintain records and drive continuous improvement.
