Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Commissioning and Start-up Mechanical Lead for the Port Arthur LNG project. You will oversee CSU testing of rotating and static mechanical systems and support the startup phase, aligning with project plans and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Eight (8) plus years of commissioning experience in cryogenic units such as LNG, Ethylene Units, Petrochemical, and Gas Processing Facilities. In Lieu of formal education 15+ years of experience in cryogenic units.
• Good knowledge in compressor, gas turbine, and liquid hydraulic turbine mechanical testing and troubleshooting; familiarity with ASME B31.3, NFPA 70E and NFPA 59A standards.

Responsibilities

• Defining and implementing the Mechanical Testing Execution Plan for the commissioning scope.
• Develops and reviews scopes of work and scheduling documents per requirements and specifications.
• Submit daily and weekly progress reports to the Project Start-up Manager.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and provide commissioning input to remove barriers.
• Provide information on Mechanical sections of the O&M Manuals and review materials.
• Oversee development of Mechanical test procedures for compressors, turbines, pumps, and related equipment.
