Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to operate laser marking equipment, deburr parts, assemble components, and interpret drawings at the York, NY facility. The role requires basic math, HS diploma, and ability to work onsite with strict adherence to quality standards.

You will gain hands-on experience with GD&T basics, inspection tools, and cross-functional manufacturing processes while contributing to on-time production and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent or, in the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of hand tools to remove burrs or sharp edges.
• Perform machine setup and runs on laser marking machines.
• Assemble components.
• Read, interpret and comprehend process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other drawings/work instructions.
• Monitor part tolerances and identify non-conforming features.
• Maintain documentation and system inputs (travelers, labor charges, production tracking, inspection results).
• Identify and report process inefficiencies and machine issues.
• Follow work priorities to meet production goals.
