Job summary

Collins Aerospace in York, Nebraska, is hiring for a manufacturing associate on the second shift to deburr, set up laser markers, assemble components and interpret blueprints with GD&T knowledge. Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to read process prints.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; 2 years relevant experience if no diploma.
• Basic math skills, including decimals.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use multiple computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of hand tools to remove burrs or sharp edges.
• Perform machine set-up and runs on laser marking machines.
• Assemble components.
• Read, interpret and comprehend process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other drawings/work instructions.
• Monitor part tolerances and identify non-conforming features.
• Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (travelers, labor charging, production tracking, inspection results).
• Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals.
• Handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, oils and chemical vapors.
• Obtain and maintain required inspection certifications.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Second shift: Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
