Job summary

Lunar Outpost in Denver invites a Sr. Staff Mechanical Analysis Engineer to lead our mechanical analysis team on spaceflight programs.

You will develop high-fidelity analytical models for vehicles and mobility platforms, guide design iterations, and ensure compliance with Lunar Outpost and NASA standards. This leadership role requires 10+ years of experience, strong FE modeling expertise (ANSYS, NASGRO, LS-DYNA), and proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of spaceflight mechanical analysis experience.
• Experience leading analysis teams.
• Expertise with Finite Element Modeling software.
• Ability to interpret loading profiles and test data.
• Familiarity with NASA standards and fatigue/fracture methods.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• U.S. Person eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytic models for vehicles and mobility platforms.
• Lead and mentor the mechanical analysis team.
• Coordinate with design, PM, and leadership to meet schedules.
• Standardize mechanical analysis practices.
• Prepare TRR, PDR, FRB, and CDR materials.
• Ensure compliance with Lunar Outpost and NASA standards.
• Present analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Allocate resources across multiple projects.
