Job summary

Summit Midstream seeks a Senior Mechanic to maintain and overhaul gathering system compression and cryogenic plants. You will perform daily compressor station repairs, monitor equipment, complete work orders, and ensure safe, reliable operations across multiple sites in Texas and nearby basins.

The role requires a minimum of five years in the energy sector or rotating machinery, proficiency with hand and specialty tools, and the ability to work at heights and in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required or preferred depending on role.
• Minimum 5 years of stable work history in energy or rotating machinery.
• Willing to work callouts, holidays, and weekends.
• Must reside within 1 hour of the job assignment or relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compressor stations with reciprocating natural gas compressors.
• Complete and maintain work orders directing projects and team members.
• Monitor and adjust equipment for optimum availability and efficiency.
• Perform maintenance on engines, compressors, dehydrators, vapor recovery units, and related equipment.
• Coordinate with contract personnel; report and troubleshoot abnormal conditions.
• Promote safety; ensure environmental regulatory compliance.
