Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to develop ultrasound transducers and associated components for our test and measurement portfolio. You will work in an agile R&D environment, collaborating with product management and other disciplines to deliver robust mechanical solutions.

The role emphasizes design verification, production transfer, and sustaining projects, with opportunities to lead others and influence product direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of design experience in mechanical products or transducers.
• Knowledge of ultrasound test and measurement applications is a plus.
• Ability to lead and mentor other designers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and transducers for ultrasound test and measurement products.
• Define mechanical requirements in collaboration with system architect and other disciplines.
• Characterize mechanical and acoustic performance requirements, materials, and manufacturing considerations.
• Oversee mechanical design reviews and approve parts and assemblies.
• Support transfer to production and provide manufacturing documentation updates.
