Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Congregate Dining Program Manager in Commerce City, CO. Lead Denver Metro Congregate Dining, SNP and Transportation services with a focus on quality meals, regulatory compliance and fiscal stewardship.

Ideal candidate will have a gerontology-related degree, 2+ years in program administration, grant writing, and budget oversight, plus strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in gerontology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years program administration experience, including supervision, grant writing and budget management.
• Own transportation and valid Colorado driver’s license required.
• Ability to listen effectively and respond creatively to participant issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for all aspects of Denver Metro Congregate Dining services.
• Ensure high-quality meal experiences for older adults and compliance with regulations.
• Plan programs, manage budgets, and supervise staff.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate coordinators and database staff.
• Assist with grant applications, funding proposals, and required reports.
• Analyze service data and demographics to inform program improvements.
• Foster partnerships with community organizations and funding sources.
