Job summary

Mobile Meals of Toledo seeks a Head Production Chef to lead daily production of 2000+ nutritious meals for seniors, supervise cooking staff, and uphold food-safety standards. You will follow recipes, track inventory, and coordinate with the Dietary Manager and Food Production Manager.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in high-volume kitchens, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a Monday–Friday schedule and

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in culinary arts or food service management.
• Proven experience in high-volume, large-batch kitchen settings.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare large volume daily hot and frozen meals according to production schedule.
• Modify meals for health needs, low-sodium diets, diabetics, and medically tailored.
• Manage kitchen inventory, assist in ordering food supplies, and log refrigerator temperatures.
• Maintain clean workspaces and follow health-code sanitation rules.
• General Maintenance of all Kitchen Equipment
• Foster a positive work environment and address staff issues or concerns.
• Quality Control: ensure high food quality and safe handling; conduct inspections.
• Collaborate on menu planning with Dietary Manager to meet nutrition guidelines.
• Implement SOPs for changing production processes and cost-control measures.
