Job summary

The Select Group in Los Angeles seeks a Software Engineer II to support the AMIR MDMS within a large-scale AMI replacement program. You will configure and troubleshoot the MDMS, collaborating with the technology vendor, system integrator, and internal teams to ensure data quality and reliable operations.

The role emphasizes SQL, Python/Java programming, cross-functional teamwork, and hands-on testing, migration, cutover, stabilization, and monitoring across interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years troubleshooting complex applications, interfaces, and data-quality issues.
• 5+ years working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Advanced SQL skills and programming in Python and/or Java.
• Ability to analyze performance and reliability of system code.
• Knowledge of hardware-software interactions and embedded-system concepts.

Responsibilities

• Execute MDMS requirements, design, configuration, and testing activities.
• Configure and support the MDMS application with internal teams and vendors.
• Troubleshoot application, data-quality, and performance issues.
• Use SQL to validate data, investigate exceptions, and analyze trends.
• Create scripts, alerts, dashboards, and automation to improve visibility.
• Review designs, code, and test results for quality and compliance.
• Support stress and end-to-end integration testing as needed.
• Coordinate with Head-End, SAP, cloud, security, and platform teams.
