Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Principal Systems Engineer Architect to join the Missile Products Division in Plymouth, MN. The role focuses on MBSE-driven design, SysML modeling, and rigorous analysis across the system lifecycle, coordinating with IPTs and customers to ensure traceability and robust performance.

You will apply MBSE methodologies, develop comprehensive system models, and communicate technical insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• 5 years of related experience with MBSE principles and methodologies.
• Proficient in SysML and MBSE tools such as Cameo System Modeler.
• Knowledge and experience with system architecture design and analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Systems Engineering activities with project management and engineers.
• Develop and maintain system models using SysML.
• Ensure models and requirements align with MBSE framework.
• Conduct system analysis through simulations and MBSE evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for traceability.
• Translate requirements into executable models and analyses.
• Prepare materials for System Engineering Reviews and technical meetings.
• Support cost, schedule, and risk management activities.
