Job summary

State of Oklahoma seeks a Materiel Management Specialist IV at Bill Johnson Correctional Center, on-site only. You will oversee procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory of supplies and equipment across the institution, coordinating with central purchasing and department heads.

Requires four years of stock handling and warehousing experience; supervise staff, train others, and ensure accurate records. This is a full-time, on-site role with a fixed salary of $34,844.16.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of stock handling, warehousing and inventory control experience.
• Ability to supervise and train subordinate personnel.
• Willing and able to fulfill job-related travel.
• May require lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Receives, issues, ships and arranges materials in proper locations using machinery as needed.
• Provides centralized mail services and/or centralized printing functions.
• Inspects items for conformance with specifications.
• Conducts inventories and maintains records, files reports and performs administrative duties.
• Assists requisitioners in preparation of specifications.
• Acts as liaison to the agency purchasing agent/Central Purchasing.
• Supervises and trains subordinate personnel and edits requisitions and purchase orders.
• Confers with department heads, vendors, and outside agencies concerning purchases, deliveries, and acceptability of supplies.
• Coordinates with other units/divisions to clarify policy and determine status for service and support requests.
