Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ seeks a Staff Engineer in Materials/Processing to serve as SME on high-temperature materials and lead related engineering efforts for aerospace systems. You will collaborate across disciplines, design experiments, and direct testing and DOE activities.

Required is a STEM degree with extensive related experience and the ability to obtain a US government Secret clearance. Relocation assistance may be available, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree with 10 years; OR a PhD with 8 years.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance.

Responsabilités

• Subject matter expert on high temperature materials for hypersonic flight vehicles/missiles and engines.
• Collaborate with engineering staff to provide materials and process engineering expertise during development, design, integration, and flight testing.
• Develop, conduct, and direct engineering testing and DOEs to solve technical problems.
• Review and approve supplier manufacturing procedures and address development/production issues.
• Support active testing and failure analysis in labs.
