Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Utah seeks a senior materials/parts engineer to manage design applications and manufacturing processes for aerospace systems. You will develop control strategies, analyze costs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure traceability and compliance.

You will collaborate with systems engineers and suppliers to deliver reliable part designs, read technical drawings, and support program leadership with data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• 8 years of experience, or 6 years with a Master's; 4 years with PhD.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain Secret/SAP clearances.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and 3D models; strong communication.
• Experience leading projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum of design application parts management within Systems Engineering framework.
• Develop manufacturing control and cost-saving analysis strategies for aerospace components.
• Create roadmaps and reports; present data to stakeholders and upper management.
• Research specs/standards to support part/material/process engineering across suppliers.
• Coordinate with integrated product teams; provide status to program leadership.
• Collaborate with systems/design/project/reliability engineers and customers for traceability.
