Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Senior Materials Planner in North Reading, MA to support supply chain performance by identifying and resolving supplier shortages that impact revenue targets, inventory objectives, and customer commitments. You will work with suppliers, EMS partners, Revenue Operations, Demand Management, and Planning.

You will analyze MRP inputs, drive recovery plans, and participate in weekly meetings to align on actions and risks while traveling ~10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of supply chain, purchasing, demand planning, procurement, or project management.
• Strong ability to analyze data and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivots, lookups, formulas, macros, and data analysis.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems for planning and procurement activities.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau; Rapid Response, Kinaxis, or Maestro preferred.
• Able to travel about 10% to Teradyne sites and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve supplier shortages or misalignments impacting revenue and inventory.
• Communicate daily with suppliers, EMS partners, Revenue Ops, Demand Management, and Planning.
• Lead supplier recovery discussions, track commitments, and close gaps.
• Participate in weekly stakeholder and escalation meetings to flag risks and align on actions.
• Drive closure of shortage-related items and escalate as needed to support priorities.
• Analyze MRP inputs and present trade-offs to address shortages.
