Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA is seeking an NPI Supply Base Planner, Material Planner, and Manufacturing Planner to drive sourcing for prototypes and production. You will coordinate with global suppliers to ensure timely material delivery from prototype through production, and manage complex BOMs for electro-mechanical products.

The role requires collaboration with Engineering and Operations, release of work orders, and monitoring of manufacturing progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
• 2–4 years of experience with electro-mechanical products.
• Prior experience planning and buying within an MRP/ERP system is a must.
• Ability to succeed in a highly Agile environment with attention to detail while implementing sourcing/planning changes.
• Candidates must be able to work independently.
• Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets, pivot tables, and formulas in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan multi-level, large BOMs for highly complex electro-mechanical products.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to establish sourcing strategies for prototype and production.
• Plan material deliveries and resolve shortages for new products.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Operations on make-vs-buy decisions.
• Release work orders, monitor production builds, and report status to management.
• Communicate across levels of management and across functional teams.
• Coordinate RMAs/rework with suppliers and manage transfers to contract manufacturers.
• Assess lead times and recommend risk buys for forecasted demand.
