Job summary

Teradyne, a global test and automation leader based in North Reading, MA, seeks a senior Lead Planner for Memory and Compute Supply Continuity. You will own end-to-end planning for DRAM, NAND, SSD, DIMM, CPU components and coordinate with semiconductor suppliers, motherboard partners, EMS providers, and sub-tier suppliers to keep product availability robust.

The role requires 8–12+ years in material or supply planning, strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and proven ability to influence executives.

Qualifications

Opportunity Overview

This senior-level planner serves as Teradyne’s central expert for memory and CPU supply continuity planning. The role manages end-to-end planning, allocation management, forecast translation, inventory strategy, and shortage mitigation across DRAM, NAND, SSD, DIMM, CPU, and related compute components. The planner coordinates supply across semiconductor suppliers, DIMM partners, motherboard manufacturers, EMS providers, computer aggregation partners, and their sub-tier suppliers.

• Develop supply continuity strategies for memory and CPU commodities.
• Manage constrained allocation environments and negotiate supply prioritization with suppliers.
• Lead executive shortage management processes, including risk assessments, recovery plans, and escalation packages.
• Coordinate component planning for Teradyne PCBAs, motherboard suppliers, computer aggregation partners, and DIMM ecosystem partners.
• Build supply-demand models spanning wafer starts, backend capacity, module assembly, and finished component availability.
• Monitor inventory, commitments, backlog, and demand signals across multiple supply chain tiers.
• Partner with commodity managers on LTAs, capacity reservations, and sourcing strategies.
• Develop executive dashboards and quarterly supply outlooks.
• Support new product introductions, technology transitions, EOL management, and business continuity planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• 8-12+ years of experience in material planning, supply planning, semiconductor sourcing, commodity management, or operations.
• Experience managing semiconductor allocation environments and long lead-time commodities.
• Strong understanding of DRAM, NAND Flash, SSD, CPU, motherboard, and system integration supply chains.
• Advanced ERP/MRP and Excel analytical skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and external suppliers

• Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required to support supplier engagements, business reviews, manufacturing partners, and strategic planning activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with EMS manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting executive business reviews and shortage escalation forums.
• Semiconductor industry planning experience.

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $125,040-$190,760. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
