Job summary

Catalent in Harmans, MD is seeking a Senior Materials Planner to ensure timely material availability and release by Quality to support manufacturing. You will manage supply, maintain inventory targets, and drive planning best practices across cross‑functional teams from pre‑clinical to commercial production.

The role requires MRP for multiple sites, daily material readiness tracking, optimization of safety stock and reorder points, and close collaboration with Buyers, Quality, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 5–6 years of material planning or related supply chain experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience in a cGMP pharma environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRP for multiple manufacturing and warehousing sites, clients, and products.
• Track material readiness daily to Ready to Execute and internal/external clients.
• Review planning parameters impacting MRP such as safety stock, reorder point, and Kanban or Min/Max levels.
• Expedite and resolve supply issues with Buyers, Material Control, Manufacturing, and Quality Raw Materials.
• Drive maximum utilization of the ERP system (JDE) for all MRP functions and inventory control.
• Contribute to lifecycle management processes to optimize inventory and reduce scrap.
