Job summary

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Harmans, MD seeks a Senior Materials Planner to ensure materials are available and released by Quality at the right time, location, and quantity to support manufacturing. You will work with cross-functional teams to manage supply and drive planning best practices.

You will optimize inventory, manage multiple-site MRP, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes within a cGMP environment supporting pre-clinical through commercial manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain is required.
• 5–6 years of material planning or related supply chain experience.
• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Extended amount of time working at a computer.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Perform Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for multiple manufacturing and warehousing sites, clients, and products.
• Track and report material readiness daily to Ready to Execute and as requested by internal and external clients.
• Regularly review planning parameters impacting MRP such as safety stock, reorder point, and Kanban or Min/Max levels.
• Expedite and resolve supply issues with Buyers, Material Control, Manufacturing, and Quality Raw Materials.
• Drive maximum utilization of the ERP system (JDE) for all MRP functions and inventory control.
• Manage input of Work Orders, attach Bills of Materials and Routings, and create Purchase Requisitions.
• Contribute to lifecycle management processes to optimize inventory, mitigate material expiration, and reduce scrap.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
