Job summary

Galvion in Newport, Vermont is seeking a Planner/Buyer to coordinate material planning and purchasing for production, R&D, and maintenance. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability, accurate MRP data, and on-time deliveries in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, material planning, or a related supply chain function.
• Experience in manufacturing and ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review MRP requirements and coordinate purchasing to support production and R&D.
• Maintain optimal stock levels with inventory teams to avoid shortages.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers.
• Create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Support inventory forecasting and supplier capacity planning.
