Job Summary:

AT-Controls has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Materials Planner with the potential for future growth. As a part of the Supply Chain - Material team, and reporting to the Materials Manager, the primary goal of this position is to optimize inventory and maintain a high service level for purchased parts and finished goods. The position will be responsible for all operational and tactical aspects of materials planning for AT-Controls business including creating a supply plan, maintaining planning parameters in the ERP system, executing the supply plan, and implementing changes to achieve the primary goal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. System Maintenance:
    • Understand and maintain MRP system parameters e.g. stocking levels, order policy, lead times etc. for existing and new items with the aim of creating a practical supply plan.
    • Maintain monthly forecast in the system.
    • Act on system recommendations and/or exceptions in response to changes in demand.
    • In coordination with procurement, maintain correct dates for incoming product.
  2. Material Planning:
    • Monitor incoming demand.
    • Execute a periodic/weekly supply plan with procurement.
    • Coordinate orders for non-stocked parts and supplies as needed.
    • Identify and communicate items that need to be expedited.
    • Participate in SIOP meetings with Sales and Operations.
    • Ensure execution of material orders in accordance with overall purchasing, inventory, and commodity strategies, supplier agreements, and policy requirements.
  3. Participate in periodic meetings with overseas and domestic suppliers.
  4. Communicate adjustments to the supply schedule with suppliers.
  5. Other:
    • Understand the nuances of the products, business, supplier and customers to help fulfill the demand in an efficient manner.
    • Assist Operations and/or Accounting to ensure that the product is received and paid for in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to procurement, operations and accounting to ensure seamless execution of supply planning activities.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

Positional Requirements & Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Operations Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management
  • 3+ years in Supply Chain Management or Materials Planning

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Excel, with the ability to process large amounts of data and create and interpret formulas.
  • Prior experience with Materials Management/MRP systems.
  • Analytical and enjoys problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
  • Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Travel: less than 5%
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Bending, stooping, walking.
