Job summary

Regal Rexnord seeks a Materials Manager for its Charlotte, NC facility. You will lead planning and purchasing, directing a team to optimize materials from suppliers through receipt to shipment readiness, while overseeing inventory across Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods.

The role requires strategic, hands-on leadership with strong ERP/MRP, scheduling, and purchasing experience, plus a track record in driving supplier performance and inventory optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Materials.
• 7+ years in direct material, inventory planning, supplier management, and strategy development with 2+ years supervising professionals.
• Proven leadership across organization levels and strong communication.
• ERP/MRP, Scheduling, and Purchasing familiarity.
• Strong financial acumen with inventory and working capital impact.
• Data-driven decision making and problem solving.
• Cross-functional facilitation and team-building skills.
• Excellent written and oral presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Planning and/or Purchasing professionals to define and execute a materials strategy from supplier through receipt, production, and shipment readiness.
• Manage the plant’s inventory performance for Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods via stock level optimization and reduction of Excess & Obsolete.
• Set and monitor the inventory strategy (plan for every part) and monitor performance.
• Contribute to the SIOP process for materials availability, inventory forecast, and scenario planning.
• Improve ERP effectiveness by optimizing parameters and automating planning and scheduling processes.
• Oversee supplier OTD and performance; implement corrective actions to improve OTD and quality.
• Lead processes across materials including procurement, handling, scheduling, inventory, receiving, shipping, forecasting, and demand management.
• Support Customer OTD and material availability metrics with problem solving and action plans.
