Job summary

Assurant is seeking a Senior Materials Manager in Irving, TX to lead inventory accuracy, control, and movement across high-volume operations onsite. You’ll partner with Procurement, Planning, and Operations to drive performance and reduce WIP aging while improving materials flow.

You will establish KPIs, manage budgets and staff, and coach managers to achieve accountability and results. Requires extensive experience in materials/inventory control and leadership within manufacturing or repair

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years in materials/inventory control in high-volume manufacturing or repair environments (8,000+ SKUs).
• 7+ years leadership experience, including managing managers.
• Experience with end-to-end supply chain: procurement, planning, inventory control, and distribution.
• Proven track record managing serialized inventory and leading physical inventories.
• Strong data analysis skills (advanced Excel required).
• Background in logistics, warehousing, and shipping operations.

The Senior Materials Manager leads inventory accuracy, control, and movement across high-volume operations. This role ensures efficient, compliant processes that support production, fulfillment, and customer SLAs. You will partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Planning, and Operations to drive performance, reduce WIP aging, and continuously improve materials flow. This is an onsite role in our Irving TX Facility.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this role?

• Lead inventory control strategy across receiving, storage, movement, cycle counting, and shipping

• Oracle ERP experience (especially reverse logistics/remanufacturing)
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, WIP management, and planning

• APICS/CPIM certification
• Experience in high-change, deadline-driven environments

Pay Range

$88,000.00 - $147,000.00
