Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Materials Operations for commercial materials management and tech transfer. You will design compliant material flows, oversee digital system integration (ERP, MRP, WMS), and partner across Manufacturing, QC, PD, and Facilities to ensure 24x7 supply.

The role requires 6+ years in site materials management within cell/gene therapy or biopharma, with at least 3 years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Sufficient experience supporting site-based materials management in biotech/pharma environments.
• Leadership experience with at least 3 years managing teams or projects.
• Proven ability to design and implement compliant material flow processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and documentation for commercial Materials Management.
• Lead cross-functional reviews and escalate technical issues with action plans.
• Design and optimize material flows using Kanban and digital systems.
• Oversee deviations, CAPA, and change control activities as SME.
