Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG) is hiring a Senior Materials Manager to support a $250M, 286MW EPC project. The position is long-term, full-time, and located near Midland, TX, with an initial training period in Eagle Mountain, UT.

Travel and lodging are covered, and the role requires on-site work on a major energy infrastructure project. The ideal candidate has extensive materials management experience in EPC/construction environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant career experience in the construction industry and exposure to EPC projects in the electric power delivery sector is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages industry best material management practices and resources with client.
• Works with customer approved local vendors to quickly obtain materials when expedited requests are needed.
• Works with procurement to ensure project materials adhere to construction and delivery schedules, and communicates with client, project team and vendors to obtain required materials on time.
• Performs material take-offs and coordinates with customer, engineering, project management and construction to determine necessary material for project completion.
• Manages lead times and material availability by identifying material need dates and order dates to align with schedules; includes forecasting.
• Directly interfaces with and oversees vendor shipments to ensure timely delivery of materials to the project.
• Prepares Materials Management Execution Plan as needed.
• Manages all aspects of receiving and issuing materials, equipment, tools and consumables for construction.
