Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Principal Material Science Engineer to lead development, analysis, and application of materials for propulsion systems. You will drive advanced solutions, document technical data, and present findings to support critical programs.

You will mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, collaborate across disciplines, and ensure alignment with NASA standards while delivering complex projects on long‑range goals with substantial autonomy.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 12+ years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge in material sciences.
• Ability to apply advanced technical principles and concepts.
• Ability to mentor and lead technical projects.

Responsibilities
