Job summary

Sierra Space Corporation seeks a Principal Project Engineer to lead large cross-functional teams and drive engineering programs from design through execution. You will develop baselines, estimates, and governance while coordinating with the Program Office and customers.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent).
Typically 12+ years of related experience.
PMP certification is required.
Strong focus on project management and leadership.
Deep understanding of how projects and programs are run.
Ability to lead large cross-functional teams.
Advanced knowledge of EVMS, CAM or equivalent.
Strong risk and opportunity management knowledge.
Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts.

Responsibilities

Lead large cross-functional teams to accomplish high-impact projects.
Oversee design, development and implementation of engineering projects.
Develop Proposals, Contracts and Basis of Estimates (scope, cost, schedule).
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and manage suppliers.
