About The Role

As a Material Science Engineer I at Sierra Space, you will enter the field of aerospace engineering with a foundational understanding of material sciences. You will help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity under the supervision of senior engineers, applying technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts in material sciences. You will prepare and document technical data, reports, and presentations to support project initiatives and facilitate team decision‑making. Clear communication of technical concepts and information, both verbally and in writing, will be essential as you collaborate with team members and senior engineers. Following instructions from senior engineers, you will work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams to achieve project goals. Additionally, you will participate in team meetings, technical reviews, and brainstorming sessions, contributing input and gaining valuable knowledge from more experienced engineers to further your professional development.
