Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with the chemical composition of fuels, oils, and coolants used in powertrain systems.
• Familiarity with petroleum product industry standard test specifications.
• Experience with analytical testing techniques used to evaluate fuels, oils and coolants.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-directed, excellent analysis and technical judgement skills required.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technically oriented individuals.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with suppliers and industry partnerships.
• Strong PC skills – Microsoft applications
• Basic statistics
• Proactively addresses process issues and continuous improvement opportunities
• Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support powertrain fluid analysis and technical recommendations.
• Technical lead on analytical testing techniques for in-house laboratory and third-party testing of organic and inorganic materials.
• Complete materials testing, document results, and summarize findings in formal reporting structure.
• Root cause analysis.
• Support PACCAR standards development.
• Project management and test sampling plan development.
• Concisely convey testing conclusions to a wide range of organizational stakeholders.
