Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Material Planning/Coordination professional to support a major Millersport, OH project site. You will implement the Material Management Plan and coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to ensure timely delivery of materials for installation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience in materials, procurement, and field operations, and strong knowledge of material handling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5–8 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in material planning and coordination on large construction projects.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and material control is essential.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Material Management Plan and coordinates material specification, identification, and quantification with Engineering and Construction.
• Optimizes materials planning work processes for key material commodities.
• Ensures consistent material identification and clear responsibilities across project functions.
• Coordinates with Engineering to identify critical drawings and data for timely deliverables.
• Assists in implementing component numbering approaches and tagging of materials.
• Verifies requisitions identify required pay items and shipment details for storage and control.
• Identifies out-of-sequence deliverables or lengthy approvals impacting schedules.
• Maintains relationships with Project Controls, Supply Chain, and Construction to ensure timely materials.
• Monitors Engineering and Supply Chain deliverable schedules to meet construction timelines.
