Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a seasoned Lead Project Logistics professional to steer site logistics operations for a major mill site project in Millersport, OH. You will direct transportation planning, heavy-haul coordination, laydown management, and material movement to support construction objectives while upholding safety and cost targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in logistics or related fields, with strong leadership and knowledge of construction sequencing,

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 12+ years in logistics, transportation, materials management, construction operations, or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead site logistics operations and logistics personnel.
• Develop and implement project logistics plans and procedures.
• Coordinate transportation, heavy haul, oversized loads, and delivery scheduling activities.
• Manage site access, traffic flow, delivery routing, and staging operations.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Materials Management, Warehousing, Construction, and subcontractors.
• Support development and utilization of laydown yards, warehouses, and storage facilities.
• Monitor material flow from receipt through installation locations.
• Coordinate lifting, rigging, transportation, and equipment movement activities.
• Identify logistics constraints and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage logistics contractors, transportation providers, and service vendors.
• Support construction readiness and workface planning requirements.
• Monitor logistics performance metrics and prepare management reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, permitting, transportation, and regulatory requirements.
